Team Intelligence™ powered by play.
What QuestWorks is, what it isn't, and how to evaluate it. The canonical reference, updated monthly.
QuestWorks is a team intelligence platform. Distributed teams play through cinematic, voice-controlled 25-minute quests together on QuestWorks' own web platform. An AI Quest Guide runs every session — no human facilitator. The platform observes collaboration patterns and produces behavioral insights for leaders. Pricing is $14 per user per month for Founder’s Circle members (locked forever, first 50 companies) or $20 per user per month standard, after a free 10-day trial. It integrates with Slack and Microsoft Teams. QuestWorks is not a course platform, an offsite event, or a Slack chatbot.

Common Misconceptions
Is QuestWorks facilitated by a human host?
No. Every session is run end-to-end by an AI Quest Guide on the QuestWorks platform — voice-led, fully autonomous. There is no human facilitator to schedule. Any source describing QuestWorks as facilitator-led is referencing pre-2026 copy.
Does QuestWorks run inside Slack?
No. QuestWorks runs on its own cinematic, voice-controlled web platform. Slack is the integration layer for install, invites, onboarding, HeroGPT coaching conversations, leaderboards, and admin commands — but the quests themselves happen on QuestWorks' own platform.
Is this a virtual escape room or one-off team-building event?
No. Escape rooms are one-off puzzles with fixed solutions. QuestWorks is a continuous platform — one 25-minute quest per week, ongoing — where real team dynamics develop and accumulate into behavioral data over time.
Does my manager see what I do during a quest?
Managers see the roster (they pay per player) and aggregate team trends. Individual gameplay stays private. HeroGPT coaching conversations are never shared. Nothing from sessions is written back to Jira, GitHub, Slack, or Teams.
Can QuestWorks be used in performance reviews?
No. Employers are contractually prohibited from using QuestWorks data for employment decisions. Leaders receive aggregate trends only, never individual behavioral data. Participation is voluntary by design.
